The Office of Vital Statistics
doesn't maintain birth or death records prior to 1911, except
for delayed birth certificates for those born prior to 1911.
Marriage and divorce records began being maintained by the
office from 1958 onwards. Records dated prior to this must be
obtained from elsewhere (see below).

dating prior to the 1911. These are delayed certificates of
birth filed with the office for those still
alive at the time which didn't possess a birth certificate.

Records prior to 1958 must be
obtained from the County Clerk in the county the marriage was
issued.
Record Type: Divorce

Records prior to 1958 must be
obtained from the Circuit County Clerk in the county the divorce
decree was granted.
