Records cannot be directly
obtained from the state department and must instead be obtained
from a local registrar's office. However, it is no longer
required to visit the local registrar's office in the county an
event took place, as vital records can be obtained from any
registrar's office in any county within the state of Minnesota.
Records can still be obtained from the state department by mail
or fax.

Birth records are restricted
and can only be obtained by certain individuals such as the
person named on the record, parent, guardian or authorized agent
etc. A birth certificate cannot be mailed to you unless you
demonstrate tangible interest. Copies of earlier records may be
obtained from Local Registrar in county where event occurred.
Record Type: Death
| Dates: Since January, 1908 | Cost: $13.00
Death records are restricted
and can only be obtained by certain individuals such as parent,
guardian or authorized agent etc. A death certificate cannot be
mailed to you unless you demonstrate tangible interest. Copies
