The Office of Vital Records
maintains vital records for events occurring within the state of
Oregon dating back to July, 1903 for birth and death records,
and 1906 and 1925 for marriage and divorce records,
respectively. Vital records can be requested in a number of ways
including in-person, by mail or by telephone. Certain records
are restricted in the state of Oregon and can only be obtained
by certain individuals (see below).

years and can only be obtained by the registrant, immediate
family members, the registrant's spouse or by legal
representative. Older records can be obtained from the
