The Office of Vital Records
maintains records for births, deaths and marriages occurring
within the state of Rhode Island. Records can be obtained at the
state level, or directly from the city and town clerk offices
where the events occurred. Records are restricted in Rhode
Island and only available to individuals who have a direct and
tangible interest in the records. Some form of official
identification is required.

years, and as
such aren't public. They can only be obtained by individuals who
have a direct and tangible interest in the records. Some form of
official identification is required. Records which are now
public can be obtained from the city/town hall where the event
