The Office of Vital Records
provides certified copies of birth and death records for events
occurring in the state of Montana. Make check or money order
payable to Montana Department of Public Health and Human
Services. Copies of marriage and divorce records aren't
available from the office, but search can be performed for
verification purposes only.

| Dates: Since Late 1907 | Cost: $12.00
Copies of death and birth
records that are less than thirty years old can be obtained only
by the Mother, Father, Spouse or Child of the individual for
whom the record is requested. Records more than thirty years old
are open and may be released to a non-direct relative, and
perhaps a genealogist.
