The Office of Vital Records
maintains vital records (birth and death) for events occurring
within the state of Oklahoma from October, 1908 onwards. It
should be noted however, that it wasn't mandatory for records to
be filed until 1917, and even then, the filing process for many
years prior to 1940 is incomplete. Birth and deaths records for
events occurring within the state of Oklahoma are restricted and
can only be obtained by certain individuals. Photo ID required.
