Records maintained by the
office date back to July 1909. Records are restricted in the
state of Wyoming and are only available to certain individuals,
depending on the type of vital record (see below for details).
Records of a certain age are passed onto the
Wyoming State Archives,
where they become public records, which can be obtained by
anyone.

Only available to the
registrant (18+), parents or guardians, or by legal
representative of the registrant or parents. Records are
restricted for 100 years. Records older than this can be
obtained from the state archives. Photocopy of official photo
identification is required for requesting a record.
Record Type: Death
| Dates: Since July 1909 | Cost: $10.00
Only available to immediate
family or their legal representatives, or by bank, executors of
estate, insurance company, or anyone requiring a certificate to
pay a policy or death benefit on the decedent. Records are
restricted for 50 years. Records older than this can be obtained
from the state archives. Photocopy of official photo
identification is required for requesting a record.
